Judith Freeman is the author of the novel MacArthur Park, which will be published in October by Pantheon Books. She has also written the novels The Chinchilla Farm and Red Water, as well as a memoir, The Latter Days, and The Long Embrace, a biography of Raymond Chandler. She received a Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction, as well as the Erle Stanley Gardner Fellowship at the Harry Ransom Center, and was a visiting scholar at the Rothermere American Institute, Oxford.
