Nancy Lord is a former Alaska writer laureate and a teacher of science writing for Johns Hopkins University. Her environmental essays have appeared widely, most recently in Catamaran, About Place Journal, and Alaska Quarterly Review. Her most recent book is the novel pH (WestWinds Press).
