Emily Hodgson Anderson is a professor of English at University of Southern California, where she specializes in 18th century British literature and culture. She is the author, most recently, of Shakespeare and the Legacy of Loss (University of Michigan Press). Her work has appeared in The Literary Hub, Los Angeles Review of Books, and numerous academic journals.
