consider if a poem existed

Editor’s Note: olga mikolaivna’s video is both essay and poem, the movement of a mind threading memory through thought. Over the course of this meditation on home and belonging, words spill into each other, associations accumulate, and images smear across the screen: the city in motion.

olga mikolaivna was born in Kyiv and works in the (intersectional/textual) liminal space of photography, word, translation, and installation. Her debut chapbook cities as fathers is out with Tilted House, and “our monuments to Southern California,” she calls them is forthcoming with Ursus Americanus Press. Her translation of Stanislav Belsky's first full length collection in English will be out with Dialogos / Lavender Ink. Other works can be found in mercury firs, Literary Hub, Cleveland Review of Books, Black Sun Lit, and elsewhere.
